Your role –
You would be joining our growing engineering team and be part of the digital team that is focused on optimising the customer experience and conversion rates. The team build and conduct multiple experiments to test and learn. You would be working closely with the product manager and the UX team.There would be a mix of technologies you work in that includes both backend, front end and 3rd party tools.

Day to day responsibilities –

• Working in a scrum team architecting, delivering and documenting new features for the platform
• Working closely with the BA to ensure there is a good understanding of the requirements and delivering to those
• Collaborating with the QA in the team to ensure the right level of testing is implemented on both the engineering and QA side
• Collaborate with devops to improve our processes
• Help teammates both within and outside of the team
• Be proactive in clearing roadblocks that may come up
• Work closely with the product manager and UX teams to collaborate on customer improvements and areas to experiment on
• Build innovative solutions for customers

Who we are looking for –

• Passionate about web development and enjoy creating amazing customer experiences.
• Recognize the importance of high-quality code through non negotiables like unit tests, integration/acceptance tests, performant, secure, robust clean code, etc.
• Solid Understanding of software delivery processes and tools eg. CI/CD
• Works in a structured logical way and doesn’t just jump into new tech without fully understanding it.
• Built applications used by a large number of external users and dealing with the challenges this brings.
• Good understanding of design patterns such as CQRS, DDD and why and when to use them.
• Functional understanding of cloud services (AWS/Azure/Google)
• Solid understanding of relational databases and ORMs (SQL Server and Entity Framework) and NoSql databases (nice to have)
• Worked in an Agile Scrum environment
• We’re starting our journey to building microservices/apps so ideally you will have some experience with this, but we can help train you.

• Solid understanding of client-side technologies (JavaScript
• /ECMAScript, Css)
• Webpack / Babel / etc
• Testing framework – eg. Jest/Enzyme/React-testing-library
• Code coverage tools
• .Net Core/Framework

• CSS3 – SASS/LESS
• HTML5
• Node.js
• CI/CD (GitHub Actions, NuGet, NPM)
• Transpiling/Bundling
