Summary of Position:
The Dishwasher performs a number of kitchen activities including washing and cleaning tableware, pots, dishes, pans and cooking equipment, general cleaning duties and storing food and non-food supplies. Keep the dish-room and equipment clean and organized.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Wash dishes, utensils and pots.
Operate dish washing equipment.
Distribute and store clean pots, dishes and utensils.
Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for dining room and kitchen.
Clean and sanitize production equipment, work surfaces and kitchen according to cleaning schedules
and procedures.
Empty trash containers as required.
Maintain assigned work station in a safe and sanitary condition.
Maintain acceptable standards of personal hygiene and complies with department dress code.
Follow safety regulations; report injuries or any unsafe conditions and work practices to the supervisor.
Attend in-service training and education sessions as assigned.
Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems immediately.
Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss.
Keep dish room clean and organized.

Qualifications:
Ability to follow verbal instructions in English.
No previous restaurant experience required.
Fundamental understanding of sanitation, cleanliness and personal hygiene.
Regular, predictable and reliable attendance.
Be able to work in hot, wet, humid and loud environment for long period of time.
Be physically able to lift, reach, bend and stoop.
Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
Be able to safely lift bags, cases and stacks (up to 60 pounds) many times per shift.
May be required to work additional hours as dictated by the work load and staffing.
Ability to identify and correct conditions that affect employee and customer safety.
Ability to be truthful and be seen as credible in the workplace.
Must be willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
