Blackhawk Transport Hiring for Administrative Assistant – 195 Job at Mt Zion, IL Full Time

Summary Statement:

• Weekly Schedule: Monday – Friday or Sunday – Thursday
• Hours: 12 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. (Half Hour Lunch)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Answer general phone inquiries using a professional and courteous manner
• Reply to general information requests with the accurate information
• Greet clients/suppliers/visitors to the organization in a professional and friendly manner
• Perform data entry using word processing, spreadsheet or database commands and format material as required
• Sort/prepare/send incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and courier deliveries for distribution
• Update and ensure the accuracy of the organization’s databases
• Provide secretarial and administrative support to management and other staff
• Coordinate the maintenance of office equipment
• Generate and respond to correspondence between Corporate office and our customer location.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Possess strong data entry skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task while maintaining composure is very important.
• Excellent organization skills.

Education & Experience:

• Data entry experience is required.
• Background in Safety and OSHA compliance is desired.

Physical Demand:

• Ability to type at 45 wpm.
• Needs to be able to see a computer screen from a reasonable distance.
• Able to sit, stand, walk, lift, and reach for a full 8-hour day.

Work Environment:

• Climate controlled office environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 – $17.00 per hour
