At Blend, we are looking for a versatile and experienced Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves designing, developing, and implementing software solutions across a range of platforms and technologies. The ideal candidate will be adept at both front-end and back-end development, committed to creating efficient and scalable software systems that meet business needs.

Key Responsibilities

Front-End Development:

• Develop user interfaces and interactive features using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript frameworks like Angular, Ember, and React.
• Collaborate with designers to translate concepts into functional and visually appealing web designs.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimize performance for fast loading times and smooth user interactions.

Back-End Development:

• Develop and maintain server-side applications and APIs using languages such as Java, C++, Go, Ruby/Rails, Python, and Scala.
• Design and optimize database structures using systems like Postgres, MySQL, Oracle, and Cassandra.
• Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms.

Integration and Testing:

• Integrate front-end components with server-side logic, ensuring seamless functionality.
• Use testing frameworks such as RSpec, Selenium, and Capybara to maintain high code quality.
• Monitor application performance, identify and troubleshoot bottlenecks.

DevOps and Infrastructure:

• Work with infrastructure tools like Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and Marathon.
• Manage and deploy applications efficiently, ensuring scalability and reliability.

Collaboration and Version Control:

• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams using tools like Jira, Trello, and Pivotal Tracker.
• Maintain code and documentation using version control systems like Git, GitHub, and BitBucket.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong experience in web and mobile development, with proficiency in languages like Swift (iOS), Java (Android), and JavaScript.
• Experience with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Teradata) and messaging systems like Socket.io.
• Familiarity with continuous integration tools like Jenkins, SonarQube, and Bamboo.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
