As part of a dedicated multi-disciplinary team of engineers, project
managers, and analysts, you will guide the requirements definition,
operations, and integration of engines for the first stage of an orbital
launch vehicle. You will report to the Director, GS1 stage integration,
and serve as the key interface between the Blue Origin Engines Business Unit
and New Glenn Stage 1 leadership. This role will support all aspects of engine
program execution including schedule and budget management, and perform
tactical coordination of interfaces between the vehicle and engine. You will
oversee the joint engine/vehicle risk and opportunity management process,
facilitate integrated testing of engine and vehicle hardware, and coordinate
installation, refurbishment, and maintenance processes with engine launch
support and vehicle mission operations teams. Working closely with a small
team of systems engineers, you will use your expertise to refine engine
requirements and review engine documentation and deliverables. You will serve
as the technical point-of-contact to the New Glenn Stage 1 team for all
BE-4-related considerations and issues, represent New Glenn Stage 1 in BE-4
technical and programmatic reviews and contribute to engine upgrade strategy
discussions while considering vehicle impacts and implications

Qualifications:
Minimum of a B.S. degree in Engineering or related technical discipline
8+ years industry experience in launch system, aerospace, or satellite
operations
Passion for Blue Origin’s mission: Millions of people living and working
in space!
Demonstrated program management experience supporting complex aerospace
systems
Demonstrated design or operations experience working with aerospace fluids
systems, mechanical systems, and/or propulsion systems
Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships,
and contribute to a culture of inclusion
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green
Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted
asylum
Desired:
12+ years industry experience in launch system or satellite operations testing
Supplier/vendor management experience
Strong systems engineering background
Strong systems test background
Strong systems analysis background
