Job Description
Direct and manage staff responsible for driving the understanding of the current and future external market environment, defining and refining our brand strategy to actualize our organizational mission/vision and activating the strategy across multiple time horizons. Be the champion for insight driven decisions, customer and consumer focus, and local/national collaborations. Provide thought leadership and be the analytical and strategic resource for brand positioning initiatives enterprise-wide. Successfully build coalition and support as well as drive change. In your role as Manager, Marketing Analytics you will directly impact the business by leading efforts to evolve Blue Cross NC’s marketing analytics practice and capabilities, while increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of our marketing campaigns. You will manage a team of high-performing marketing analysts who consult throughout the marketing strategy and execution process, and lead the measurement, analysis and optimization of campaigns to acquire, retain and engage key audiences. You’ll also be responsible for building relationships with clients, stakeholders, and senior leadership to socialize key learnings and best practices, remove blockers for your team, and champion the importance of data-driven insights and strategies in delivering on Blue Cross NC’s purpose and goals. Finally, you will lead the collaborative development and refinement of Marketing Analytics processes, templates and approach, while overseeing the identification, justification and implementation of technology solutions to increase efficiency and effectiveness of our marketing efforts.
What You’ll Do
Continually monitors the external environment across the health insurance industry, assimilates information to create a detailed understanding and forecasts competitive movement, trends and opportunity.
Facilitate, co-design and implement Marketing Analytics best practices, processes, consumer tracking, and templates to impact the campaign strategy and overall enterprise business
Appropriately engage and collaborate with stakeholders to positively impact enterprise business efforts and create superior value and target market differentiation while increasing campaign effectiveness, efficiency, and perceptions and maintaining brand equity
Partner with senior leadership and relevant business segments across the enterprise to ensure input is properly solicited from all areas of the business to drive support, change and action. Ensure input is integrated into the strategic plan and provide guidance/direction on strategic alignment.
Evaluate and provide recommendations for Marketing Analytics technology solutions in new business and/or strategic opportunities.
Establish relationships, maintain compliance as appropriate and successfully leverage capabilities and insights of associations and other peer plans.
Lead the company’s short and long-term Marketing Analytics planning to include competitive positioning, year on year effectiveness, and activation plans and roadmaps
Lead the development of overall strategy regarding the Marketing Analytics and facilitate alignment and integration with divisional and initiative plans and business goals.
Provide thought leadership regarding consumer driven research including segmentation strategies, campaign performance and predictive modeling.
Identify and prioritize the development of analytical insights (both trending and predictive) to be used to support all cross departmental campaign initiatives.
Lead the development of Marketing Analytics strategy and roadmap to align with enterprise initiative and goals
Contribute to annual divisional planning and goals to increase collaboration and adoption across cross-functional departments
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree (where required)
8+ years of experience in related field.
In lieu of degree, 10+ years of experience in related field.
Nice to Have
2+ years of experience directly managing others, preferred
Experience driving direction and alignment with large cross-functional teams within complex organizations
Experience presenting metrics, insights and optimization recommendations to senior leadership
