BlueLine Drains Looking for CCTV Operator at Levin, Wanganui-Manawatu, New Zealand Full Time

Due to recent expansion, we have a position available for a Qualified or Trainee CCTV Operator. Full training will be provided both internally and externally for the Job Functions related to this role. Our yard is based in Levin but we mainly work in the field across the wider Horowhenua, Kapiti & Wellington regions.

Job Functions

• Completing CCTV Inspections of pipelines, conduits and other structures in accordance with the New Zealand Gravity Pipe Inspection Manual Version 3 or 4, or other such standard as applicable.
• Identifying and arranging for any required enabling works to be undertaken to be able to successfully complete the CCTV Inspections including Flushing, Suction and Traffic Management.
• Using sonde technology and physical identification techniques to locate buried manholes, construction features and significant defects.
• Implementing and monitoring traffic management setups.
• Installing trenchless patch repair technology to remedy defects.
• Completing manhole rehabilitation including raising manholes and repairing benching.
• Using flow reduction techniques and equipment.
• Entering confined spaces and adhering to all permits to enter.
• Assisting with flushing and root cutting of pipelines and conduits.
• Assisting with suction of sumps, pits and manholes.
• Assisting with hydroexcavation works.
• Cleaning, servicing and maintaining CCTV and associated equipment.
• Cleaning and maintaining company vehicles.
• Ensuring all equipment is returned to either the vehicles or workshop after each use.
• Ensuring adequate levels of stock are maintained in the vehicles and workshop.
• Scoping sites out for management to quote including obtaining photos and providing remarks as to traffic management and other notable requirements.
• Liaising with clients, colleagues, subcontractors, residents and the general public.
• Completing required paperwork and contract status documentation.
• Using knowledge and experience to assist with daily work solutions.
• Maintaining a safe, clean and effecient workplace.
• Adhering to and promoting a positive Health & Safety culture including assesing sites for hazards and mitigating risks.
