Blueprint Lighting Hiring for Workshop Assistant – Chandelier Parts Prep/Polish, Production – WILL TRAIN! at Norwood, NJ Full Time

Blueprint Lighting is a fast paced family business that manufactures decorative lighting for the interior design industry. We are looking for workshop team members to assist with our parts prep and finishing. This is the first step in our manufacturing process and requires attention to detail. This position required someone who is good with their hands and motivated, who can learn and follow our process but also strive to make it better! We would love to train the right candidate if they are a good fit for our team!

Qualifications and Work Experience Required

• We are willing to train the right person who will fit in with our team.
• 1+ years manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Ability to work on tight schedules to ensure fixtures are shipped on time.
• Ability to work with the antiquing solution that our parts are treated with
• Experience with light duty tools and sanding is a plus.
• Ability to work independently in a small workshop with 10 other people.
• Engage in continuous improvement activities such as exposing problems, collecting data to solve problems, and suggesting improvement/upgrade ideas.
• Ability to wear appropriate PPE to include a minimum of safety shoes and safety glasses.
• Demonstrated ownership of equipment, performing regular Autonomous Maintenance including cleaning equipment and work station
• Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work successfully in a team-based environment that heavily emphasizes quality, performance, cross-training, customer service and high accountability.

HOURS AND COMPENSATION:
$20-24hr to start based on experience.
