The Opportunity

Come and discover the opportunity to join the Technology team in our BlueScope Building Components business as a Software Developer. BlueScope Building Components, a division of BlueScope in Australia, manufactures and markets steel building products, solutions and services through its four leading brands: Lysaght, Fielders, Ranbuild and Kiteleys.

As a manufacturer, distributor, wholesaler and retailer of world class building products, we rely on technology across every facet of our business. In this exciting opportunity, you’ll be a key contributor to providing high levels of technical care and support to a broad and diverse portfolio of customers. You’ll do this by working with our proprietary software, creating customer facing apps and designing solutions for building industry professionals. Success in this role will grow from connecting with other developers and partnering with internal stakeholders to create innovative solutions for continued business growth.

This role can be based in locations in Melbourne VIC, Brisbane QLD or Sydney NSW.

What Will You Do?

With a strong focus on finding effective solutions to real world business issues using your own creative methods, you will:

• provide escalated client support
• undertake QA and testing
• work in a varied hosting environment, such as on-premise and cloud
• design and build new features and enhancement

More About You

Ideally, you will bring along development experience across .Net/C# coupled with exposure to Azure DevOps or similar, HTML, SQL Server and productivity tools such the Atlassian suite. In addition, you will have:

• strong customer focus with the ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently
• a proactive approach in building constructive and effective relationships
• high attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple priorities
• the ability to work in an Agile environment.
• relevant tertiary qualifications
• a willingness to grow, learn and develop yourself
