Mō te Tūranga | About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Analyst Programmer – ObjectStar to join our Transactions and Investments team within the IBIS Team. We support the bank’s term loans, term deposits and securities. We deliver new innovative features to give our customers a great banking experience.

You will deliver a range of software applications/development services through design, development, programming, testing and maintenance of technology solutions aligned with business objectives. This includes:

• Work within an Agile Team to analyse business processes, procedures and user requirements in order to establish system requirements
• Contribute to system/application design including production of system and program documentation as well as ongoing maintenance
• Develop solutions and specifications so that agreed requirements can be converted into functional systems
• Undertake testing activities in relation to software solutions ensuring that quality meets agreed specifications/requirements
• Create development and support documentation and provide advice regarding applications to enable support functions to operate effectively
• Contribute to the review and redesign of processes or procedures, on an ongoing basis, to deliver improved system productivity or efficiency
• Provide Production Support and resolve production incidents (through diagnosis, testing & applying fix) for assigned applications

Ōu Pūkenga | About You

You’ll be a team player who has excellent communication skills, with a huge desire to learn. You will also bring:

• Current ObjectStar knowledge (current = 1-5 years)
• Banking knowledge and experience
• SQL, DB2 skills
• COBOL development background, a plus
• Collaborative team player
• Competent Agile practitioner, not just following practices, but translating principals into action
