Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking an Entry-Level Numerical Control Programmer (Machining/Tooling) to support our team in USA – Portland, OR.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develops, revises and verifies Machine Control Data (MCD) and geometry.
• Provides machine operator instructions and documentation for automated or numerically controlled equipment per established process.
• Create NC Manufacturing Enhanced Dataset (ME).
• Working closely with other NC Programmers, Manufacturing Engineers, Process Engineers, Equipment Engineers, the equipment provider, Boeing Design Engineers, Boeing Research & Technology Engineers, Quality Engineers, IT, Industrial Engineers and Production Operations personnel.
• Develop and author reliable numerical control programs for a range of automated equipment and processes.
• Create offline programs using CATIA V5 and compatible programming and simulation software.
• Be involved in testing and proving out new N/C programs to achieve a conforming build. Once programs are released to production, candidates will be required to provide follow-on support.
• Weekend work and off-shift support will be required as needed.
• Works under close supervision.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

• Experience with metals fabrication and machining
• Experience in Numerical Control (NC) programming
• Experience do you have with CAD/CAM software, preferably CATIA

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience)

• Experience with Additive Manufacturing technologies

Typical Education & Experience:

AA Degree in related discipline
