BOEING Hiring for Senior Software Engineer Job at Sydney, Australia Full Time

The Opportunity

Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) is currently looking for conscientious Software Engineers. Working within the Mission Systems and Ground Segments Capability, you will be part of the team that develop the cutting edge Airpower Teaming System (ATS). ATS is the first military aircraft to be designed, engineered and manufactured in Australia in more than 50 years. The first aircraft prototype, called the Loyal Wingman, was unveiled with the Royal Australian Air Force in May last year.

Working in the role you will have the opportunity to:

• Exercise software development skills in C++ and Python
• Perform software and systems integration with exposure to any of:
  • Avionics
  • Electronics and Communications
  • Radar and sensor systems
  • Tactical Data Links
  • MIL-STD-1553
  • Industry specific simulation tools
• Support Verification &Validation and testing activities
• Work as part of a dedicated team that is focused on delivering new capability to our customer.

We’d love if you have prior experience in the Defence industry where you gained familiarity with any of the above technology.

You’ll be working on a platform where some components have high mission and safety assurance considerations, so knowledge and experience with DO-178 or safety critical software is a big bonus.

The ability to communicate and collaborate with a diverse team, in a conscientious and inclusive way is valued by our team.
