The Opportunity

We are seeking a talented DevSecOps Engineer to join the Mission Systems & Ground Segment team, supporting activities for the JP9102 (SATCOM) Campaign. The role will involve building / managing a Software Develop Environment.

The role will be based in Brisbane CBD (QLD).

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Building / managing a Software Develop Environment
• address the entire software development lifecycle – analyse the needs, design, test and develop software in order to meet customer needs
• Supporting multiple operating systems (Windows, Linux, Solaris) integrating software toolsets to create and manage a collaborate software development environment. Mentoring DevSecOps and SysOps personnel on best practices
• Managing a Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery Pipeline
• Creation and maintenance of documentation of the environment’s configuration and operational processes
• Work as part of a team in security planning and implementation into a continuous integration/deployment cycle
• Work with developers to setup and configure new automated build and test processes

Experience/Qualifications

The successful candidate will be able to convey their knowledge and experience in the general, technical and behavioural competencies listed above with the most desirable experience being:

• Prior experience across multiple IT disciplines
• Experience working with classified defence environments
• Prior experience in: DevOps Tools, e.g. Git, Jenkins, Puppet, Ansible, Ansible Tower, Chef & Infrastructure as Code
• High level communication skills and the ability to communicate at all levels
• Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements
