The Opportunity

Do you want to be part of the team designing exciting new Maritime Autonomous Systems and capabilities?

Boeing Defence Australia’s (BDA) and PhantomWorks International (PW-I) is currently looking for conscientious Software & Senior Software Engineers. Working within the BDA Research & Development environment, you will be part of the team that will develop exciting new capabilities to support our customer.

Responsibilities

• Integrate software components into a fully functional software system
• Develop behaviours and simulation models to replicate real world platforms
• Be a role model for best practice and continuous improvement of software engineering, including peer reviews and upholding quality standards.
• Work as part of a team contributing to the integration of new system features and defect resolution.

Experience/Qualifications

• Software development in C++, Java and/or Python
• Understanding of maritime platforms and/or operations
• Linux experience
• Agile methodologies, SAFe, SCRUM
• Automated testing experience (unit tests, GUI/scenario testing)
• Understanding of Behaviour trees and behaviour development
