This staff member keeps apprised of research focused on student experiences, and innovative trends, and serves on committees and teams to affect retention of historically under-retained students. The staff member will support student peer educators in developing programs that discuss social issues that impact student retention and well being, offer community building opportunities, and engage in work that provides a strong foundation for campus members to advocate for programs that help recruit, retain, and graduate our students. This position will also grow a robust volunteer program and occasionally support marketing efforts. This position is a vital part of the Gender Equity Center Team and has a profound impact on our campus and community.&br& &br& &&Level Scope:&& &br&Fully competent and productive professional contributor who applies acquired job skills, policies, and procedures to complete substantive assignmentsrojects/tasks of moderate scope and complexity. Works independently with general supervision; exercises judgment within defined guidelines and practices to determine appropriate action. May provide guidance and assistance to entry level professionals and/or support employees.&br& &br& &&Essential Functions:&& &br&The Program Manager will engage in:&br&A . Student Development&br&• Hire, coach, and co-supervise student staff&br&• Create, facilitate, assess, and revise Gender Equity Center (GEC) educational outreach programs focused on advancing equity as it relates to gender, sexual orientation, and the intersection of identities. Much of the programs will involve serving those who do not identify as LGTBQIA+, but who are eager to learn how they can help ensure all campus members have a chance to thrive.&br&• Oversee the Gender Equity Center’s volunteer outreach program, to include the recruitment, training, coaching, coordinating, and recognition of volunteers.&br&• Collaborate with GEC full time staff to develop, facilitate, and assess ongoing GEC staff development.&br&&br&B. Advocacy and Consultation&br&• Provide consultation, advisement, and technical assistance to campus and (as able) to community organizations as they create/revise policies, practices, and curriculums.&br&• Serve on campus-wide teams to offer expert consultation and direction.&br&• Represent the Gender Equity Center at community partner meetings related to the scope of this position.&br& &br&C. Administration&br&• Build relationships with campus and community partners, identify, advocate for, and implement opportunities to advance equity on campus.&br&• Serve on a highly collaborative leadership team within the GEC, to share input regarding the planning and implementation of departmental initiatives, strategic planning, budget ing, etc.&br&• Oversee program budget related to educational programs on sexual orientation, gender identity, and intersecting identities.&br&• Seek opportunities to expand budget, including grants, facilitating sessions for community partners, etc.&br&• Conduct research, program assessments, and summarize data to inform decision making, evaluate program efficacy, and to inform initiatives and advocacy.&br&&br&D. Marketing&br&• Coordinate the Center’s social media presence. &br&• Keep apprised of brand standards by attending monthly divisional marketing meetings.&br& &br& &&Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:&& &br&• Excellent written and verbal communication skills&br&• Ability to think analytically and critically&br&• Experience planning and organizing projects and delegating work&br&• Ethical decision making&br& &br& &&Minimum&&&& Qualifications:&& &br&Bachelor’s Degree in a field related to human behavior, including: Multi-Ethnic Studies, Gender Studies, Sociology, Anthropology, Social Work, Political Science; or 4 years of equivalent relevant experience.&br&&br&&&Preferred Qualifications:&&&br& • Masters Degree in a field related to human behavior, including: Multi-Ethnic Studies, Gender Studies, Sociology, Anthropology, Social Work, Political Science, or a related program or six years professional experience.&br&Experience creating, facilitating, and as
