Bolloré Logistics Looking for Business Development Manager at Christchurch, Canterbury, New Zealand Full Time

We are seeking an experienced and successful Business Development Manager to join our team in Christchurch.

Reporting to the New Zealand Sales Manager, you will play a key role in driving the growth of our business by identifying and cultivating new business opportunities within the freight forwarding sector.

You will be responsible for obtaining new business at a profitable level and ensuring that you meet and exceed your budgeted targets as set by the Sales Manager.

Requirements

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Sales

• Identify and close new business opportunities through prospecting and solution selling
• Maintain a healthy pipeline
• Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets
• Prompt and efficient response to client requests
• Work collaboratively with the sales team to ensure successful execution of sales plans
• Research and identify sales pipelines and support campaigns across vertical markets, products & trade lanes
• Ensure sales targets are met / exceeded monthly, tracking budget against actual results
• Prepare and present proposals to clients
• A minimum of 10 -12 legitimate calls per week
• Continuous engagement with clients to understand new opportunities and develop these opportunities to benefit the development of Bolloré Logistics
• Assist with resolution of customer issues
• Weekly sales reporting via CRM platform

Operations and Customer Service

• Liaise with Key Accounts/Customer Service and Operations to ensure customer profiles are set up and updated correctly
• Ensure all new business completes a credit application, identifying their expected credit limit requirement
• Follow up on the process of approval with the accounts department and ensure the account is fully active, in finance and operational systems, prior to go live with the customer
• Assist accounting staff when required to solve any financial disputes with your customers

Reporting

• Ensure reports detailing the outcome of previous weeks activities is submitted to the Sales Manager
• Utilize company sales system to manage opportunities through the sales process
• Utilize company quoting system for quote generation
