General Summary of Duties:Responsible for providing direct patient care including assessing, interpreting, planning and implementing physical therapy treatments.Typical Physical Demands:Requires full range of body motion including manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Frequent standing and walking for prolonged periods of time. Requires handling and lifting of patients. Requires ability to facilitate prescribed treatment, including full manipulation and resistance. Requires ability to communicate nature of treatment to patient and prepares doctor’s report. Lifts and carries items up to 50 pounds.Example of Duties:(This list may not include all of the duties assigned)Assesses patient condition, establishes goals, treatments and care plan in conjunction with physician and patient/family.Ensures that appropriate treatment is performed in interdisciplinary physical therapy factor on patient health status.Documents findings, treatments and other patient information for medical records.Complies with appropriate clinic policies related to infection control and safety regulations.Educates patient/family on appropriate care and use of various therapies and exercises.Conducts and participates in clinic educational programs.Assists other therapists in planning treatment programs.Maintains department in a clean and orderly manner. Keep equipment in good working condition.Performs related work as required.Qualifications: Education:Bachelor’s degree or higher in Physical Therapy.Experience:Minimum of one year experience preferred as a Physical Therapist, preferably in a clinic setting.
