BOREALIS COMPOUNDS Hiring for Shipping and Receiving Operator at Port Murray, NJ Full Time

Job Duties Summary:

Process orders from start to finish by assembling boxes, counting/weighing products and packages, packing containers, and sealing and labelling containers for shipment under minimal supervision.
Area of responsibility:

• Perform basic quality control checks including weighting, package counts, and evaluating product or package appearance.
• Examine and inspect containers, and products to ensure that packing specifications are met.
• Fold and tape boxes, apply labels, and prepare boxes for shipment according to direction.
• Prepare shipments by banding and weighing.
• Load and unload packages from trucks; receive parts into inventory.
• Drive a forklift.
• Perform activities planned by others.
• Maintain a clean and safe workplace in accordance with company policies.
• Repackage/restock product.

Requirements: * Effectively communicate and work in a team environment * Detail oriented and possess great communication skills as well as time management skills

• Ability to write to record basic information.
• Knowledge of and ability to compute basic arithmetic.
• Manual dexterity.
• Basic computer skills, MS Office, SAP
• Ability to carry out one- or two-step tasks (transport, stack, weigh, etc.).
• Knowledge of and ability to solve problems that have standard solutions.
• Ability to rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
• Safety mind set.
• Reliable

Experience * Minimum of 2 years of packing/shipping experience in a manufacturing environment * Railway shipping experience is plus

• Warehouse: 5 years
• Valid driver’s license.
• Forklift and pallet jack experience
• Knowledge of moving trailers (45-53 ft.), CDL is plus

Pay: $22.00 per hour
