Job purpose
BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as a Human Resources Generalist as a contract position. The HR Generalist will be primarily responsible for supporting the administration and coordination of an array of HR projects, programs and activities and is typically the first interface for employees, as directed for the Indiana Technical Center, with primary focus at the Noblesville site. The HR Generalist will lead/facilitate and manage the onboarding/orientation programs for the ITC. This role will support recruitment, administrative HR duties and general employee relations.
Key responsibilities
Supports the Talent Acquisition process through preparation of job descriptions, and related activities with the internal and external recruitment programs
Leads and/or facilitates all aspects of the new hire onboarding programs, and supports offboarding programs
Actively conducts audits and corrective actions with the HRIS Workday system, in addition to the maintenance of both employee electronic and hard copy files
Assist employees with questions or refers to appropriate resource in timely manner
Assists with the development of new programs and initiatives
Supports company programs, committees, and planning of company sponsored events
Supports the Indiana Technical Center campus student program, and accordingly is a key ambassador of the company at university and academic career events, job fairs and STEM related events
Supports the wellness committee and wellness initiatives, is an advocate for the wellness programs
Participates in and/or recommends new approaches, corrective actions, and updates to policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed. Assists with the administration and implementation of the same.
Generates periodic workforce analytic reports and trending overviews
Participates and supports cross functional HR activities
Participates in other HR related activities and projects as assigned
Maintains a high level of confidentiality in all duties and responsibilities
What we’re looking for
Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or human resources related field
5+ years related work experience in human resources
Strong detailed orientation and a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks
Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, which includes ability to remain objective and use discretion in all situations
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Resourceful, with a problem solving aptitude, and ability to stay organized in a fast paced environment
Highly collaborative and team oriented
High proficiency in MSOffice, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
