Description
Purpose
Performs most aspects of right-of-way and real estate related activities, negotiating favorable terms to various land and right-of-way related agreements secured on behalf of the company’s client, including the acquisition, relinquishment and modification of easements, fee land purchases, permit rights, encroachments resolutions and settlements of damage claims of company’s client.
Key Responsibilities
Do the Work
Identifies land ownership from public records.
Researches, reviews, analyzes titles; identify defects; able to identify curatives.
Negotiates the acquisition of right-of-way, easements, and other property interests of greater complexity, on behalf of the company’s client.
Reviews, prepares, analyzes, interprets most land and Right-of-Way related agreements, deeds, easements, leases, permits, and licenses.
Maintains up-to-date record of contact attempts and parcel-related data in company database.
Attends team meetings as necessary.

Minimum Requirements
High School diploma or GED required.
Minimum of three to five (3-5) years performing increasingly more complex aspects of land and right-of-way acquisition.
Ability to obtain Real Estate License in state, if required.
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time during busier periods.
Working knowledge of right-of-way and land acquisition and of regulatory and legal issues preferred.
Ability to read and sufficiently interpret engineering drawings, legal documents relating to real estate and right of way transactions is a plus.
Ability to communicate and negotiate with property owners regarding changes that may affect their property. Clients include homeowners, legal representatives, industry, universities, and utilities.
Satisfactory driving record as determined by the Company and a current, valid State driver’s license.
Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
Must be organized, motivated, self-reliant, and work with minimal direction.
Works effectively with internal leaders as well as external clients.
Be able to successfully perform multiple tasks in a fast paced and fluid environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Applications, including, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Familiar with work management tools, and related technologies such as GIS and Google Earth.
Multi-lingual is a plus.
Essential Functions

Ability to work in outdoor environment.
Ability to obtain Real Estate License in state, if required.
