BPP Education Group Hiring for Freelance English Language Assessor Job at Remote , UK Full Time

Supporting and assessing international learners’ English Language competence

With your passion for, and expertise in, teaching, you will assess English language skills amongst international learners at BPP . You will assess international learners’ English language competency in 4 skills, carry out English Language speaking tests via Microsoft teams and assess computer-based tests for reading, writing and listening. Assessors will also be required to carry out Academic Credibility Interviews with applicants to ascertain credibility criteria are met. Assessors are required to commit to annual training and standardisation exercises and keep up to date with departmental meetings and changes to administration processes.

The job will sit within the English Language and Testing service, working with international students prior to arrival.

The role is a freelance position, with flexible hours, commencing August 2022. Work can be carried out online as the role is remote. There is some asynchronous marking though most takes place live via Teams. Most assessment takes place in the morning though afternoon sessions are possible. Applicants should be available particularly during peak periods in December-January, March- April and July-September, though there is assessment throughout the calendar year.
