The Software & Data Engineer will be a key resource for our Bassendean site to develop and capture critical operating data and process knowledge through customer interactions and site visits.

Using your prior experience, you will provide accurate and advanced simulation capabilities to the Market and Technology products to strengthen product design and sales to maximise market share and growth.

The position will manage the simulation validation projects to ensure accurate outcomes are achieved from the modelling process. In addition, you will optimise the functionality and implementation of the simulation activities through customisation, automation and standards.

The software and Data engineer will ensure accurate flow of engineering 3D CAD data, 3D laser scan wear data and operating processing data is fully coupled for accurate modelling and simulation to maximise product and equipment performance.

Collaborating with the internal stakeholders you will assist in the development and protection of Bradken IP in early detection capture for new product design and analysis.

Key Criteria:

• Experience working as a mechanical, process, software or data engineering in mining or heavy manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated experience using 3D modelling software, NX is highly regarded.
• Demonstrated experience in DEM, CFD or SPH numerical modelling tools.
• Proven experience in data analysis tools, R Shiny, Python, or equivalent.
• Knowledge in data science dashboarding and development experience
• Previous experience in Product Development and Project Management
