Responsible for preparation, review and oversight of global income tax reporting, US tax compliance (Federal/state and local/sales & use tax) and transfer pricing operations.
Roles & Responsibilities
•Oversee and manage overall tax provision and financial reporting processes, ensuring proper and timely tax provision, tax footnote, and tax disclosures.
•Oversee and manage all US federal, state and local, and indirect tax filing/compliance activities.
•Analyze risks and sustainability of various tax positions taken in the tax filings and financial statement
•Oversee and mange analysis and assessment of all tax accounting impacts for the company, working hand in hand with the head of tax strategy to ensure seamless end to end planning, implementation and reporting ; work in close collaboration across all Finance-in particular-Controllers, FP&A, Treasury and Global Supply Chain Finance.
•Assess and calculate tax impact of tax controversies / UTPs and related interest and support recognition and measurement of various tax positions
•Support ongoing day to day management of US federal tax audits.
•Oversea and manage cash tax forecasts
•Provide critical tax accounting support on company strategic initiatives, business development significant transactions and stakeholder consultations across the business
•Monitor and analyze tax regulatory and compliance developments and tax law changes for impacts to the company’s tax reporting and compliance, and communicate impact, risks/opportunities and recommendations to key stakeholders
•Ensure effective design, operation and monitoring of internal SOX controls in close partnership with Global Business Controls
•Maintain and administer tax compliance software and tools used for tax reporting and compliance (direct and indirect taxes); work closely with the technology group to leverage technology and make sure tax is involved in all system changes.
•Oversee global transfer pricing operations and intercompany profit elimination activities, including working with supply chain, the technology group, and business development to maintain a consistent global policy.
Lead a team of 20+ tax professionals in addition to external advisors.
Skills/Experiences
•J.D., Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, CPA
•15+ years combined public accounting and in house tax operations experience.
•5+ years experience managing tax reporting and compliance group of 20+ tax professionals in addition to external tax advisors
•Strong organizational, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
•Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in fast-paced environment
•Deep tax accounting technical skills and experience with ASC 740, Sox 404 internal controls
•Business oriented
