Brivo Hiring for QA Automation Engineer at Bethesda, Maryland Full Time

About the Role

As the QA Automation Engineer, you should have a passion for technology and software quality and have in-depth knowledge of the latest quality assurance tools, procedures and practices involved with software development. You will be working closely with developers and responsible for creating and executing test cases and test plans used to ensure high levels of quality for complex applications including hardware, cloud based and mobile.

You will also be expected to:

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with product teams to proactively define and maintain test plans and test specifications for functional, regression, and performance testing

• Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities

• Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using approved, available, and open-source tools

• Research and recommend new test tools to enhance test coverage and efficiency

• Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs

• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved

• Monitor release quality and make recommendations regarding risks and stability of new features

• Assist in shaping the overall QA process by suggesting improvements, best practices, and new approaches to testing workflows

• Commitment to continuous learning and improvement of development and quality strategies

• Foster DevOps culture and product ownership amongst team

About You

• 3-5 years of experience with software quality assurance, including both automated and manual test strategies

• Experience with the following: CI/CD practices, automated tests, builds, and deployments

• Documenting testing results and working with software developers to resolve the findings

• Thorough working knowledge of the entire SDLC and processes, testing methodologies, and their direct implementation to projects

• Working in an Agile/Scrum development process
