Production Worker – 1st Shift

Read work orders and gather materials in order to process work orders2. Responsible for machine set up and operation. May include switch overs for efficient and accurate production.4. Using measuring tools and production standards, continually check quality of product being produced5. Maintain a safe work environment for one self and others in the department6. Keep area clean and organized7. Follow company attendance policy8. Perform other duties and activities as requiredJob Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities1. Must have a good command of the English language, both written and spoken2. Use and be familiar with measuring tools such as rulers, tape measures, calipers, and gauges, using inches and metric3. Must be able to perform simple shop mathPhysical Demands: 1. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds intermittently and up to 35 pounds on a regular basis2. Job requires frequent pulling, twisting, bending, reaching, crouching, and lifting. Use of both hands to grip, pull, push, twist, and manipulate work items3. Ability to stand for extended periods of timePersonal Protective Equipment: 1. Safety glasses with side shields are required at all times2. Ear protection is required in this production department3. Safety shoes are required for employees assigned to the production floor4. Gloves may need to worn for some production processesWork Environment1. Work is performed in a production setting where one is exposed to noise, fumes, heat, and cold2. May work at different workstations as production needs require, or shift from one station to another, during production processEducation and/or Experience Required1. HS diploma or GED preferred2.
