The Senior Specialist, SAP IBP & Supply Chain Support works as part of the IT team aligned with our business unit colleagues that execute the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) functions and supports their efforts from an IT / technical perspective. This position works with a cross-functional team of business and planning leads to develop, execute, mature, and scale IBP across multiple business groups. Additionally, this position drives the development of business processes, tools, and analytics to support planning activities. This role also supports the broader set of Supply Chain support functions performed by the Integrated Supply Chain Operations (ISCO) support team within IT.
Integrated Business Planning

• Develop, implement and monitor a robust and sustainable IBP strategy and IBP process
• Provide input to the security architecture, role design, and related requirements in close coordination with the Security team
• Contribute to the preparation of business specification documents, functional specification documents, and training materials
• Provide go-live preparation and post-go-live functional and technical support, including acting as a focal point to address questions/issues and services requests regarding the implementation of the IBP solution
• Perform knowledge transfer and train other core team and Business project team members to sustain the implemented solution
• Support the gathering and definition of requirements for the SAP IBP solution
• Collaborate with the various concerned teams in transitioning, testing, and providing further feedback with respect to functional requirements
• Record and follow up on tracking incidents or production change related work orders
• Ensure Integration and alignment of IBP with:
  • Innovation, Product Management, Demand, Supply (Operations and Supply Chain), and Management review activities to ensure business goals and objectives are reached and exceeded
  • Accelerate program
  • FP&A budgeting and forecasting processes

• Facilitate and champion IBP and be the common link throughout the monthly IBP process
• Embed and facilitate a monthly discipline process that provides a clear business activity plan to achieve success metrics, prioritize projects and align business resources (time, people, and capital)
• Influence and drive consensus between cross-functional groups and leaders
• Continuously improve the monthly IBP cycle including timeliness of the product, demand, and supply plan submissions and robust alignment with financial budgets and forecast
• Mentor, coach and drive collaborative behavior among all IBP participants

Supply Chain Support

• Support all work and initiatives taken on by the IT ISCO product group, including both IBP and other work (EDI, interface and integration support, etc.)
• Work with supply chain team to ensure customer needs are fulfilled, and IT supported systems are functioning as needed
• Create and maintain process documentation
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
• Conduct Demand aggregation and disaggregation (between ECC, IBP and BPC)
• Conduct Response & Supply use cases, including supply simulation, viewing planning results, viewing confirmations
• Manage supply planning based on SRM/ECC sourcing options such as Contracts, Source-lists, Info-records, Quota Arrangements, Old Pos, etc.
• Conduct and analyze IBP Inventory use cases, including inventory positioning in network, inventory optimization, drivers of inventory, what-if analysis
• Define a robust inventory data baseline using the IBP inventory optimizers
• Define efficient and appropriate utilization of IBP Control Tower for end-to-end visibility, decision support, fast corrective action, and alert management
• Lead the IBP integration with SAP BW (for BPC and any on-premise reporting requirements)
• Configure and manage the HCI & SDI integration and file adapters
• Manage functionalities embedded in excel Add-In frontend for IBP and in Fiori apps
• Manage functional/technical activities during quarterly upgrades

QUALIFICATIONS
Education

• Bachelor’s Degree: Business, Science, Statics, Data Science or Engineering (or equivalent experience)

Experience
7 years:

• Experience in various areas of operations, supply chain, and finance
• Extensive design, configuration, integration and implementation experience in all IBP modules (IBP Demand, S&OP, Response and Supply, Inventory and Control Tower) having been involved in at least 2/3 full life cycle implementations
• Experience in S&OP, IBP, demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and supply planning

5 years:

• Experience defining attributes, master data types, planning areas, planning levels, and business key figures, time profiles, and time periods
• Experience defining and building integration points and information flows (time-based, order-based, and execution) between IBP and ECC
• Experience developing statistical forecasts, statistical models, and optimization tools
• Forecasting based on bill of materials
• Definition and mapping of ECC material master data (based on required planning attributes) and logistics EOS structures to execute IBP activities

2 Years:

• Related project management experience

Software/Technical Skills Requirements

• Knowledge of IBP and commercial business planning processes
• Ability to explain statistical forecasts and models in business terms, explain how to interpret the result, and adjust the model to improve the accuracy
• Knowledge of end-to-end Supply Chain Management processes (scheduling, warehousing, fulfillment, reverse logistics)
• Knowledge of integrating IBP with SAP Analytics Cloud or Data Warehouse Cloud

This role will be a hybrid role. Subject to business needs, employees may work remotely up to two days per week. Assigned office days will be determined by managers.
