KNOW THE ROLE
This role will assist with the smooth day to day running of the Health & Safety Department. The role will support with the safety policies and procedures, site assessments and managing document control, filling & records. A key focus in this role will be ensuring that the H&S operates efficiently whilst ensuring compliance with internal audit guidelines. The tasks are varied and the successful candidate will be required to juggle daily priorities and support as needed. This is a 1 year fixed term contract.
Maintaining comprehensive Health & Safety Management System to ensure it is kept up to date
Providing a comprehensive administration support role to the Head of Health and Safety on a day to day basis
Supporting the Health & Safety Team with various administration duties
Keep records of incidents and maintain incident statistics for various business units
Ensure all paperwork retained and filed within H&S the Management System
Designing, setting up and maintaining Excel Spreadsheets, Power Point Presentations, Safety Notices and other communications as required
Organise information according to procedures by filing, data entry, checking/matching data, etc. to ensure accurate records are maintained
Assist with raising awareness of our health and safety culture
Completing Purchase orders on behalf of the H&S team
Managing email and telephone communications

High level of proficiency in Microsoft packages
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
A self-starter with the ability to work on own initiative
Demonstrable high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
