Responsibilities:
As a key member of our Project Management Team, you’ll provide onsite day-to-day support and execution of project controls and scheduling functions for the project. This position is client-facing and has a strategic role to assist in managing a project located at Vandenberg Space Force Base, California.
This position includes assisting the Project Manager, and Site Superintendent in the development of project plans, Critical Path Method (CPM) compliance in accordance with client contract documents, and accuracy validation of subcontract vendor schedules, including progress and schedule logic conflict management. Forecasting, diagnosing and planning workarounds and other project tracking needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create and maintain schedules in P6
- Develop and maintain all project schedules and coordinate schedules with the client.
- Support the project in the compiling of multiple subproject schedules to establish the status of work on a weekly basis.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports and other ad hoc reporting as required by the contract, requested by the Site Superintendent, and the Project Manager.
- Support the project with the day-to-day administration of the project, including financial control, reporting, and monitoring.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, project management, or related technical field. Experience in lieu of degree is acceptable. -Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience with increasing responsibility.
- 8 or more years of work experience in project controls and scheduling with 5+ years on large-scale heavy industrial or civil projects
- 5+ years of experience with earned value management (EVM) and progress measurement approaches for construction phases of work
- Proficiency with Primavera P6 / (Primavera Unifier experience a plus)
- Experience with Deltek Acumen software is preferred
- Financial Analysis experience
- 5 or more years of experience (demonstration of proficiency) in administering project schedules
- Experience with directing, planning, and scheduling functions, including schedule development, control, cost-loaded schedules, and risk analysis.
- Experience with the MS Office Suite – Specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Communication skills including the ability to interact with all levels of the project team.
- USA citizenship required.
