Bt Mining Limited Looking for Training Assessor at Rotowaro, Waikato Full Time

Our training team are committed to professional development of our team, and we are looking for someone that wants to further their training career with us as a Training Assessor.

About the role:

• You will be responsible for all our training of our current and new employees on our simulator trainer
• Overseeing and monitoring the traineeship programme ensuring all documentation is completed correctly and reviewed by management within the timeframes required
• Supervise the activities and performance of all Trainees during the first six weeks of their traineeship
• Track training performance with the individual trainees by monitoring the progress through the daily training logs, weekly review forms and in-field follow-up by scheduling an assessor to review the trainees operating practices
• Perform training and assessment activities
• Mentor crew trainer assessors through the in-field training and assessment process
• Assist in ensuring sufficient training material and resources are developed and available to all Trainer Assessors and Operators
• Support the implementation of training courses in line with the site requirements
• Work with the wider team on site to ensure operational requirements are met and relevant external and internal compliance training is scheduled, communicated and conducted to maximise attendance

About you:

• Formal Education in OH&S and training or relevant years of on-the-job experience
• Proven leadership and training experience within the mining industry or similar
• Have the technical knowledge and familiarity of heavy plant & equipment
• Have a high level of competency in the Microsoft Office suite
• You are a people person, who can relate to people from all walks of life
• You are excellent at managing your own time and prioritising
