We at Bupa Whitby Care Home are searching for Caregiver who embody these values to share our journey with. You’ll be surrounded by a team of like-minded health professionals that support and care for residents and each other.

This is a permanent full time position, working on a rotating roster, offering flexibility to suit your lifestyle. Under the guidance and supervision of qualified nursing staff and management, you will provide residents with a high level of care and comfort.

Key Task and Responsibilities

• Treat residents with respect and dignity
• Assist and support residents in their daily life
• Contribute to the development of a positive, safe, home environment for residents, visitors, and the wider team
• Follow policies and procedures

Who are we looking for?

• You will demonstrate enthusiasm, care, and passion for making a positive impact to residents
• A NZQA qualification in Health Care and Wellbeing is preferable, however this is not essential as comprehensive training is provided for the right candidate
• Must have flexible availability for a variety of shifts throughout the week, including weekends and evenings.
• Reliable transport or travel arrangements

The NZ Government COVID-19 Public Health Response (Vaccinations) Order 2021 (Vaccinations Order), has mandated that workers in the health and disability sector must be double vaccinated, including booster vaccinations which came into effect on 23 January 2022. Due to this mandate, we will need evidence of your two vaccinations and your booster.

If you received your second dose on or before 16 August 2021, then you must get the vaccine booster by 15 February 2022. If you received your second dose after 16 August 2021, then you must get the vaccine booster within 183 days (6 months) of your second dose. You will be asked to provide evidence of your vaccination status during our recruitment process.
