Serves as the Division Chief in any ATF Headquarters Directorate managing a specific Division responsible for law enforcement programs, functions or operations encompassing the overall law enforcement mission of the organization to which assigned. Exercise full supervisory responsibilities and authority over Division personnel. Develop and implement Division policies, practices and procedures. Plan, coordinate and oversee effective development of Division programs. Programs involve studies and initiatives pertaining to the Divisions programs, functions or operations. Advise the Assistant Director and/or Deputy Assistant Director(s) on significant issues or matters pertaining to Division programs and projects, e.g., the impact of new technology, new initiatives, etc. Direct the coordination of projects and programs with management officials in other divisions within the Directorate, with management officials in other directorates at Bureau Headquarters, and with officials from the Department of Justice or other Federal, State and local law enforcement agencies. Furnish technical information and advice to Assistant Director and/or Deputy Assistant Director (s) in order to provide direction and uniformity in Division programs and projects. Experience must be in the normal line of progression or must be related to the work of the position advertised and must be reflected in resume.
