Burnbrae Farms Hiring For Machine Operator/ Production Operator at Brockville, ON Full Time

Position Overview:

The Production Operator plays a critical role in the production of a variety of egg products (e.g. hard-boiled, Egg Bakes, etc.). The primary purpose of their role is to operate food manufacturing and packaging equipment in a safe and efficient way while at the same time adhering to plant GMP’s and HACCP guidelines. The Production Operator has keen attention to detail, remains calm under pressure, enjoys troubleshooting and can provide effective and respectful on-the-spot feedback to production workers on their line.

Key Responsibilities:

• Machine operation, which includes troubleshooting and quick mechanical fixes
• Completion of documents according to standards (e.g. CFIA, BRC, etc.).
• Ensure scheduled production quantities and timelines are met
• Mentor and lead a team of production workers (1-20 members) which includes, but is not limited to cover break rotation, providing feedback, etc.
• Work in a safe manner, ensuring all safety standards and PPE requirements are met for the entire line
• Follow SOP’s to ensure smooth equipment start-up, operation during shift, changeover and shut down

Qualifications:

• High school diploma, college diploma in a related field preferred
• 3 + yrs experience in a Production Operator (or similar) role in a manufacturing facility
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to motivate a team and generate results
• Demonstrated commitment to safety
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Computer literacy including Word, Excel, SAP, etc.
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Additional safety training (e.g. First Aid, JHSC certification, etc.) an asset.

Salary: $21.20-$24.40 per hour
