Engineering Technician – BWX Technologies, Inc. – Erwin, TN

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Assists with the preparation of detailed work packages that control work activities ensuring completion in a manner that is timely and efficient while adhering to safety and quality standards.

• Ensures that completed work packages contain all the required forms, permits, and relevant documents needed to do work.

• Coordinates walk downs of work package scope with all applicable stake holders

• Helps to coordinate the scheduling of work activities during outages and normal operations.

• Assists in updating work packages (revision control) when plant systems, components, procedures or field conditions change

• Controls and maintains an active log of draft, active, and closed work packages.

Education and Experience:

• Minimum A.S. degree in technical field +2 years of experience, or

• A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.

Position requires U.S. citizenship with (no dual citizenship) ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance which involves an extensive criminal and financial background investigation, drug test and previous employment reference verifications.
