Engineering Technician – BWX Technologies, Inc. – Erwin, TN
Roles and Responsibilities:
Assists with the preparation of detailed work packages that control work activities ensuring completion in a manner that is timely and efficient while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Ensures that completed work packages contain all the required forms, permits, and relevant documents needed to do work.
Coordinates walk downs of work package scope with all applicable stake holders
Helps to coordinate the scheduling of work activities during outages and normal operations.
Assists in updating work packages (revision control) when plant systems, components, procedures or field conditions change
Controls and maintains an active log of draft, active, and closed work packages.
Education and Experience:
Minimum A.S. degree in technical field +2 years of experience, or
A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or matter. Position requires U.S. citizenship with (no dual citizenship) ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance which involves an extensive criminal and financial background investigation, drug test and previous employment reference verifications.
