We help holidaymakers love their journeys
We’re taking on climate change by building slow travel to the mainstream, and are the creators of the world’s first tech platform for flight-free holidays. We help people experience the joy of journeying through lesser-known parts of the UK and Europe by train, boat and bus, and are proud to be a certified B Corporation.
Founded in March 2020, we’re backed by Innovate UK, and have raised £1.2M from incredible investors. Our organic growth has been significant and sustained since launch, mostly thanks to press, from the Times to the Guardian, and since January 2022, we’ve grown 30% monthly.
We’re looking for a customer-centric intern for 2-3 months
We’re looking for someone friendly and customer-centric with excellent communication skills to support our Travel Experience team in taking care of our customers and their holidays this summer. A creative problem-solver, you’ll support our trip leads and our travelling customers, especially dealing with inbound WhatsApp, email and phone call enquiries. Many customer questions you’ll be able to answer yourself, doing your own research and problem-solving as needed, and some you will escalate to trip leads to deal with themselves. We need a detail-oriented fast learner who isn’t afraid to jump right in and support us wherever needed as we bring slow travel into the mainstream.
We help holidaymakers love their journeys
Make sure our customers love their journeys, supporting them in-trip via email, WhatsApp and phone and ensuring timely responses whenever you’re on call
Solve as many customer problems as you can yourself through independent research and plenty of question-asking as you build your knowledge
Triage inbound enquiries via all communication channels from the start of the booking process all the way through to the end of the customer’s holiday
Support our TravelExperience team in other areas, too, according to whichever need is most pressing in a given week!
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a positive approach to interactions with our team and customers
Great attention to detail whilst working in a highly reactive environment
An enthusiastic ‘can-do’ attitude and an agile approach
Customer service and administration experience
