C Limited Hiring for Car Drivers Job at Lyttelton Full Time

Are you looking for casual work to keep active, or earn a little extra?

Interested in working 10 -12 hours shifts – totaling up to 50 hours per month?

We have imported cars and heavy equipment that need to be unshackled from ships holds and driven to designated areas on the port or for Ministry of Primary Industries checking.

You will get to drive a wide variety of very interesting vehicles and work with a good team. Although the role is mainly driving there are some physical labour tasks required as well.

The shifts are normally 10 -12 hours, and when we know the ship is arriving you can be contacted at quite short notice (but at least 18 hours prior to start time). These shifts could be at any time across the day / night / weekends.

We draw from a pool of casuals to cover the unloading of all Lyttelton cargo, so there is flexibility in what hours you work.

We are looking for people with:

A clean full Class 1 drivers license (essential)

Class 2 and above licenses would be beneficial

Safe drivers of both manual and automatics

A focus on safety

Are fit to be able to unshackle / unlash vehicles from the hold

Efficient at following clear instructions

Can pass a drug and alcohol test
