AEO certified as a customs agent in both the UK and France, we are seeking a dedicated Customs Agent to join our established customs team.

Please note this position is fully remote and has a rotating shift pattern:

Monday – Friday, Week 1: 07:00 – 16:00, week 2: 08:30 – 17:30, week 3: 10:00 – 19:00.

Main duties:

• Co-ordinating Import and Export
• Conforming to HM Revenue & Customs regulations
• Ensuring all HM Revenue & Customs duty liabilities are fulfilled
• Liaising with, customers, suppliers, necessary agents, and customs authorities
• Raising necessary paperwork concerning all movements of Dangerous Goods

Skills required for this role:

Essential:

• At least 1 years’ experience working in Exports/Imports & Customs Compliance
• Understanding of UK & EU imports customs requirements

Desirable:

• Experience using Customs systems (e.g. CDS, CNS, Destin 8, Sequoia)
• Proven ability to deal with customs procedure codes and specialist customs procedures, including CFSP and Transit
• Understanding of controlled goods or goods subject to sanitary and phytosanitary controls
• Institute of Export “Level 4 Customs Practitioner Award” or equivalent
• Experience in road transport, logistics or haulage
