Description
Calderdale College is looking to recruit an exceptional, appropriately qualified and experienced individual to work in the department of Teacher Education. The successful applicant will contribute to the delivery of the programmes across the group of qualifications we offer at the college. The primary focus will be teaching on the PGCE/ Certificate in Education. Other duties may include delivery of Level 4 Award in Internal Quality Assurance, Level 3 Award in Education and Training, Assessors Award, Certificate in Understanding Autism, and conducting observations of trainee teachers and teaching assistants. The person appointed will be a high performing and focused individual, with the ambition and drive to deliver and achieve challenging targets.
The main purpose of the role is to work as part of the Teacher Education team to develop and deliver courses focused on improving the practice of teachers, assessors and teaching assistants. A significant amount of the role will involve conducting observations according to a range of criteria, and to ensure timely and effective quality assurance of the provision in accordance with Awarding Body Standards.
The role requires someone with a good knowledge of education systems, an academically and professionally qualified and enthusiastic individual who can demonstrate outstanding success in previous roles. The person will also be able to demonstrate and role model consistent high performance and have the ability to influence and motivate their students, colleagues throughout the college and fellow team members. This role requires someone who is solutions orientated and innovative but who has the drive and determination to achieve success in all aspects of the role.
