About the Candidate

The ideal candidate should have the following.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members
• The ability to work independently and in a team
• High level of numerical accuracy and attention to detail
• Able to coordinate the work around deadline and team members. Organize, schedule, and coordinate the meetings with clients.
• Show eagerness to delve into details to identify and resolve issues
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience working with CaseWare, Profile, Sage & QuickBooks or other financial systems is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
• Ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

Job will include:

• Preparation of personal and corporate tax returns, tax elections and other tax reporting forms.
• Preparation of compilation engagements, including year-end financial statements and tax returns.
• Bookkeeping on CaseWare, Sage or QuickBooks.
• Tracking deadlines, scheduling and coordinating meetings with clients.
• Taking phone calls and greeting clients.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.00-$25.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Ranchlands, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• Accounting: 5 years (preferred)
