Salary Range: £26,000 per annum pro rata
Hours: 16 hours per week (term-time only)
Job Dimensions– Design and deliver high-quality eurythmy activities to groups of children/young people (3-25 years) according to their needs, motivations and abilities. Guide the children/young people in the Art of Eurythmy and lead them through a process of social interaction and spatial awareness through collaboration, engage in the planning, assessment and evaluation of eurythmy activities.
Continue a programme of personal and professional development to ensure best practice.
This post requires:
- Experience of working with children/young people in an educational setting
- Educational Eurythmy teaching experience
- Eurythmy teacher training
Eurythmy Teacher for Children and Young People
- A Eurythmy degree or an equivalent graduation certificate from an accredited Eurythmy training centre
Desirable for Post:
- Experience of working with people with additional support needs
Key Responsibilities
- Instruct children/young people in groups as appropriate and whilst embracing the principles of the CSA Curriculum Rationale, and whole school ethos.
- To support and lead groups (various classes) of children and young adults to experience speech, sound (music) through movement.
- To support and develop their spatial orientation, awareness of time and rhythm through speech and music.
- Provide effective assessment, planning and monitoring of activities.
- Maximise children/young people independence through using a structured approach and other innovative responses to group activities.
- Encourage participation and enhance self-esteem of all children and young people.
- Use and develop appropriate communication strategies and systems for the children and young people.
- Work collaboratively with all those involved with the children and young people to ensure appropriate liaison, communication and feedback.
- Promote positive behaviour and attitudes among children and young people, safeguarding the health, welfare and safety of the children and young people and team.
Accountability
- Ensure all relevant and current CSA H&S policies are under- stood and that it is known where to access these, and further information, should it be required.
- Comply with the CSA Health & Safety policies, including Fire
Precautions and Prevention.
- Ensure all reasonable precautions are taken to provide for the safety of the children and young people attending school.
- To ensure compliance with Infection Prevention and Control policies and procedures and the Health and Social Care Act
2012, ensuring that the risk of health care associated infection to children and young people and staff is minimised by careful preparation and clean-up of the classroom environment.
- Ensure that work undertaken to safeguard children and young people is effective and consistent with the policies, proce- dures, and protocols of CSA.
