Job Description
The HR Assistant will provide administrative support relating to Human Resource needs at the Montreal manufacturing facility. The HR Assistant will work closely with the HR Business Partners to ensure tasks are prioritized properly and deadlines are met on projects. They will support crucial functions to support our employees including recruitment, payroll, health and safety and benefits.
The Role:
Prepare internal documents related to recruitment, new hires, payroll documents, promotion and transfer letters, etc.
Enter new employee information into the HRIS and ensure information is up to date and accurate
Assist the HR Business Partner with Health and Safety programs to ensure a safe and secure work environment
Track and administer the employee referral bonus program, and compose/distribution reward statements to employees
Provide feedback to improve processes across all administrative tasks such as document updates and system configuration
Work with Managers to ensure job descriptions continue to be updated as needed and communicated to employees
Act as a Talent Ambassador for Canada Goose at recruitment events such as job fairs and open houses
Present the Canada Goose onboarding program to new employees to ensure sound understanding of policies and procedures
Support and implement various HR projects and initiatives
Coordinate employee perk programs
About You:
A post-secondary education in Business or Human Resources
2+ years human resources experience
Health & Safety training including Joint Health & Safety Committee education/experience
Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development within the HR profession
Working knowledge of employment legislation in Canada and Human Rights legislation
Well versed in many HR functional competencies and best practices
