Job Summary
Research, design and implement innovative approaches to ensure that either diversity, equity, inclusion or linguistic duality are integrated in people management approaches.
Support stakeholders across the organization in meeting their responsibilities in these areas by:
- Providing interpretation, advice and guidance to HR programs, managers and employees on the application of legislation and regulations as well as other pertinent policies/guidelines/directives related to diversity, equity and inclusion or official languages.
- Researching, analyzing and evaluating applicable legislation, Public Service policies and initiatives to anticipate trends and remain current on best practices.
- Assessing programs, processes, activities and tools and making recommendations to enhance their effectiveness.
- Planning and organizing internal promotional materials, tools and activities to educate and inform about legislative requirements, organizational strategies and programs.
- Revising and recommending modifications to, and proposing options for the development of policies and guidelines for the organization.
- Developing work plans to meet our objectives and monitoring implementation to ensure the programs achieve what they set out to do.
- Preparing briefing materials, reports, letters and presentations.
- Participating on various internal and external networking groups and/or committees.
Education
- Undergraduate degree*
- College diploma**
- High school diploma***
An acceptable combination of education, experience or training will be considered.
The educational program must be from an accredited learning institution recognized in Canada.
If you completed a program outside of Canada you will be required to obtain proof of a Canadian equivalency at your expense through a recognized credential assessment service.
Note: Any higher level of education could be recognized as experience.
Experience
- Two (2) years of experience
**Three (3) years of experience

- Experience in the provision of advice to employees and managers on the subject or matters whereby discretion and sensitivity was required
- Experience interpreting and applying policies, guidelines and legislation
Candidates must also possess:
- Experience working and maintaining collaborative working relationships with internal or external colleagues or clients
- Experience in preparing briefing material, reports or presentation decks
Assets:
- Experience working in the field of DEI or Gender Based Analysis PLUS
- Experience working the field of Official Languages
- Experience developing organizational approaches to support the management of people
- Experience in making presentations or conducting workshops
- Experience working with data analyses for the purposes of planning or reporting
An asset qualification is a qualification which can enhance the ability to perform the work based on current and future businessrequirements, but which is not strictly required. Assets can be used to help determine right fit in certain circumstances.

Security Requirements
Candidates must be eligible to receive an Enhanced Top Secret security clearance. The process involves a security interview, a polygraph, and a background investigation that includes credit and financial verifications. The use of illegal drugs is a criminal offense.
