As the Harvest Supervisor, you’ll be working for one of the largest and best-managed forestry companies in the world as you manage our daily harvesting activities. Canfor is deeply engaged in innovation and technology, so you will be utilizing cutting-edge systems for tracking, reporting, root cause analysis of safety, quality, cost, and result delivery. You’ll be “tree-sponsible” for the supervision and coordination of logging, road & bridge construction, inspection, maintenance & deactivation, waste assessments, and hazard abatement. Your strong attention to detail abilities will come into play as you prepare budgets, manage costs, and provide administrative and environmental management activities.

In a perfect world, you have a University Degree or Technical Diploma in Forestry or Natural Resource Management along with knowledge of applicable BC legislation and policies. Bonus points if you have experience across a spectrum of forestry work, and are comfortable forming positive relationships with suppliers, Indigenous communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders. Bonus-bonus points if you are a registered Professional Forester and/or a member of the A.B.C.F.P.
