Primary Function
Support to business office operations and customer service for a busy multispecialty. Medical Records experience is preferred, with skills in preparing patient charts, organizing patient charts, scanning charts into electronic medical records system. Additional responsibilities will include filling in with receptionist duties including answering and directing calls, greeting patients arriving for their appointment, assisting patients with completing their registration paperwork, taking and recording patient payments, and confirming insurance information received by insurance verifiers.
Job Qualifications and Specifications
High school diploma required with at least 6 months of experience. Graduate of Medical Training Program preferred. Must possess the ability to interact with customers in friendly, efficient and professional manner and exhibit a level of organizational skill and attention to detail, perform duties independently with minimal supervision. Computer skills, math skills, knowledge of basic medical and insurance terminology are preferred. Bilingual (Spanish) communication is not required but preferred.
