Responsibilities:
â€Â¢ Transfer data from paper formats into computer files or database systems
â€Â¢ Type in data provided directly from customers
â€Â¢ Verify data by comparing it to source documents
â€Â¢ Update existing data
â€Â¢ Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested
â€Â¢ Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation
â€Â¢ Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost
â€Â¢ Proven experience as data entry clerk
â€Â¢ Fast and accurate typing skills
â€Â¢ Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel etc.)
â€Â¢ Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices
â€Â¢ Understanding of databases
â€Â¢ Great attention to detail
