Summary
The HR Business Partner is responsible for ensuring alignment between Carhartt business operations and HR practices and objectives. Understanding and translating business strategy, the HR Business Partner provides nimble and dynamic solutions to people issues using data to guide decision making. The HR Business Partner provides consulting and coaching to distribution leaders and associates to support Carhartt’s Mission, Vision and company goals.

Responsibilities
• Provide expertise to the business on several aspects of the employment cycle, guiding and providing tools for: o Interviewing and Selection of Talent o Onboarding and Training Plans o Employee Relations o Performance Management and Career Development o Talent and Resource Needs • Act as a primary liaison for internal departments to design, implement and deliver employee programs that positively impact the environment and create engagement• Supports the Talent Management team with Organizational Design needs• Provides day-to-day management of the operational project calendar and process; partner proactively and appropriately with the internal and external partners to ensure the execution of projects that improve the overall effectiveness of the Operations team. • Connect the correct internal HR resources for the business requirement; for example, compensation, organizational effectiveness, or learning• Support the distribution network 3PL locations• Proactively identify and support the elements of change management with the business• Utilize experience, data and a high level of business acumen (including Identifying, analyzing, and reporting out on key performance indicators) to influence business decisions that promote a high-performance work environment.• Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues; conduct effective investigations with responsibility for difficult and sensitive information• Research, develop and educate teams on HR policies and procedures• Facilitate and/or partner with cross functional HR Team on activities that impact associates’ company-wide
Education
Required Skills and Experience
• 5 years of experience in Human Resources• Distribution experience preferred• Excellent written and oral communication skills with the proven ability to communicate with all levels • Outstanding organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and attention to detail• Intermediate computer knowledge is required, specifically in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).• Certification of PHR, SHRM-CP or related HR professional designation/certification is preferred• Knowledge of relevant labor laws and regulations• Ability to maintain confidentiality • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities• Strong sense of customer service and follow through• Flexible and responsive to new or special projects assigned
