A patent-pending SaaS in-memory faceted search engine, providing lightning fast results and has a fully-featured guided navigation with SEO built in. . Trees, recursive code, multithreading, async-await, high performance coding in .Net Core on Linux!

PXcrush

25+ million image and video requests every day, resizing images on the fly, use AI to detect the location of the vehicle in the image + much more

Blocko (Fraud detection)

Using AI for over 200,000 requests a day to detect fraudulent behavior across the carsales network. We analyse leads / vehicle enquiries, adverts and user behaviour.

Global Leads platform

carsales is all about buying and selling vehicles, this cannot be done without our global leads platform allowing buyers and sellers to communicate with each.

Our aim is making sure everything is globally ready, deployed across multiple regions and ready to be used not only for carsales but also our businesses in Latin America.

What’ll you’ll be doing

• Work on a variety of different products – 1search, pxcrush, bloco and global leads.
• Craft and deploy high quality software, as part of your team.
• Write code that is clean, highly maintainable and well tested.
• Continually improve the codebase and suggest areas we can improve further.
• Work with a variety of AWS services (ECS, DynamoDB, S3 etc).
• Have a say in in what you will be working on.
• Learn event driven architecture. We use rabbit MQ to decouple services between different teams.
• Collaborate with other teams in the Core Tribe and across carsales.
• Enjoy the monthly birthday cake(s) where we get together to celebrate last months birthdays.

What we are looking for

• C# ASP.Net Core
• Data structures and algorithms
• Enjoy writing high performance code
• Enjoy solving hard and complicated problems with the simplest and most elegant design (KISS)
• Cloud experience
