We are seeking to hire an Automation Test Engineer to join our collaborative high growth organisation, located at our office based in Melbourne, Australia.

The Automation Test Engineer will impact the organisation through detailed testing and technical support throughout all testing stages of both hardware and software products.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

• Software validation of products ensuring they meet internal and external software requirements.
• Develop, update, and maintenance of automated and manual test case.
• Use Python based test automation framework to identify and create new devise testing processes, environments, and test cases, optimizing existing test usage.
• Analyse test results, debug failures, and work closely with software developers to reproduce and resolve issues raised.
• Provide ad-hoc 3rd level technical support.
• Ensure testing processes are followed and testing documentation is completed fully and in detail.
• Perform other related duties as required.

WHAT DO WE LOOK FOR IN YOU?

• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant engineering field (electronics, computer science, etc.).
• Relevant experience within quality control – software test.
• Demonstrated in-depth Python and Linux knowledge.
• Proven ability to write thorough test cases.
• Knowledge of product development lifecycle with respect to hardware and software development.
• Experience using, configuring and testing modem/routers functional features (such as: Routing, DHCP, Port forwarding, DDNS, SNMP,TR-069, VoIP, Voice, SMS, VPN, ADSL, VDSL, Wi-Fi, VoIP, 3G/4G LTE).
• Experience with in-depth troubleshooting problems for modems/routers (TCP/UDP) preferred.
• Strong personal drive and the ability to achieve success with minimal supervision.
• Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
