Lyde Green Primary School is excited to be recruiting three 1:1 Teaching Assistants on a fixed term contract until 31/08/2023

About us

Lyde Green Primary is a fresh and exciting new school based at Lyde Green near Bristol. Our aim is to inspire and encourage a passion for lifelong learning in our children, sparking curiosity, promoting creativity and nurturing developing passions to ensure that our children grow and thrive on their journey through school. Our curriculum places huge importance on reading and a love of books. It also promotes the ‘big ideas’ of diversity, society and exploration.

Our dedicated team of staff model themselves as lifelong learners and put our children’s best interests at the heart of everything they do and they work hard to ensure children remain challenged, motivated and engaged with their learning throughout their time with us.

The school currently has 458 children comprising three EYFS classes, three Y1, three Y2 classes, two Y3, two Y4, one Y5 and one Y6 class. In September 2022 this will grow to just under 500 children and the school will continue to grow annually, eventually across two sites. Lyde Green Primary School also has a Specialist Access Centre for up to 16 children with a diagnosis of ASC (Autistic Spectrum Conditions)

About the role

Hours: 32.5 per week, Term Time Only + INSET Days

Salary: £16,978 prorated, £22,571 FTE

You will work with the support of a forward thinking team to ensure that pupils have a fantastic education at Lyde Green Primary School. About you

Are you the person we are looking for?

• Are you innovative in your thinking?
• Do you have Level 3 qualification or equivalent with a recognised body?
• Do you have experience of phonics teaching?
• Do you believe reading and the love of books should be at the heart of learning?
• Do you have experience of working with SEN children and implementing EHCP provision?
• Are you skilled at creating an environment that provokes learning and allows children to actively engage in their learning through play?
• Are you interested in the latest teaching and learning practice?
• Do you see the fun and enjoyment in learning?
