Catalyse Looking for Communications Lead at Auckland, Auckland, New Zealand Full Time

We’re seeking a Communications Lead, an enthusiastic people-oriented person, who is aligned with our values and will help us grow our online presence. This role is essential for highlighting the work we do, as well as connecting with various organisations, and finding innovative ways to engage with communities of all kinds. You’ll be part of a team dedicated to building strong, resilient and regenerative communities and places.

Your Role:

Your role will be multi-faceted, involving content development and marketing planning, coordination, and general communications. Key responsibilities are to liaise with key team members to:

• Develop strategy and content for social media (Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn) and our website
• grow reach, engagement and followers
• establish systems and habits for the team to contribute
• draft occasional think/reflection pieces
• increase video content
• manage a small budget
• Develop strategy and plans for in person networking and sharing
• Contribute comms advice and services to identified projects
• Contribute to product development

This role is a contract for services. The ideal candidate will grow with us, helping to enable transformative change in and with communities.

Your skills and knowledge:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in social media management and content development.
• Experience in communications and marketing strategy and planning.
• Strong organisational, time-management, research, and administrative skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with community engagement, placemaking and participatory research and evaluation approaches to the development of strong, adaptable, regenerative communities. 
• Familiarity with project management software and community development tools (desirable).
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (desirable).
